Okay the graphics are terrible, the story/plot is non-existent, and yes it’s a throwback to the arcade games from 10 years ago......but thank **** it is. I loaded this up this evening and I’m totally hooked.
I’ve always been a fan of arcade on-rail shooters, from the likes of Operation Wolf, onto the laser disc games and then the big Namco and Sega series such as Virtual Cop and Time Crisis.
Ghost Squad on the Wii has this spot on, it’s a no brains shooter based on reactions and timed reloading, yes nothing to it at all but a great simple enjoyable game which shows why the Wii is selling by the bucket load.
Now if Nintendo can just sort out a Namco license and get the Time Crisis games on Wii I’d be a very happy guy.
