Ghosts - The white floaty things that go oooooooo

I totally understand your position. I am, however, the wrong person to talk to about dowsing since I've been practicing it, on and off, since the '80s. So you and I will just have to differ on our opinions of that.

The scientists think they know more than the faithful, and the faithful think they know more than the scientists. It's very difficult for one to convince the other. The best that can happen is respect and acceptance of the other's view.

@Raz is effectively saying the same thing.

So all the people that just showed they couldn't dowse, just weren't actually doing it before?

In some ways I'm jealous of people like you, I would probably feel better if I believed in the afterlife, god and the supernatural. (not sarcasm)

Feel exactly the same mcast. Eternal life, see loved ones again. Lots of comfort to be gained.

Well, some people do have faith for exactly that reason - because it gives them hope that their diabolical living situation has some hope and meaning beyond itself. This is why you see so much religious fundamentalism and extremism in poor communities. That said, a lot of hardened atheists do end up changing their views on God and the afterlife the closer they get to death.

Existential crisis is easy to beat once you determine to, and do have a real crack at it. It only becomes really necessary to do though, and most useful when everything is against you.

Most folk dont face that necessity until near death / dying.

I don't actually understand what you mean, could you be more specific? Please bear in mind that if you are trying to convince me that dowsing or that some esoteric practices are fake/false, that won't work, regardless of if you show me scientific evidence, for the reasons previously stated. In order for that to work, the faithful would have to want it to work. Until one gets to that point, such arguments are largely futile. That said, I'll try to answer whatever questions you have.

You believe it to work correct? You say you've done it?

If the above is correct, what is your reasoning for the dowsers in the video, failing?

I do believe it to work correctly and have done it, yes. I'm talking about pendulum scrying specifically.

I haven't watched the video but if they're failing then their spiritual connection is blocked for some reason. I can't really say anything more than that.

Cars can have ghosts perhaps... if the altered overnight dashboard panels of the last 2 vehicles I have used are anything to go by.

The ghost in the current vehicle has been at it again this week I see. It didn't know how to refit the plastic panel under the steering-wheel correctly - it left a gap and a broken plastic clip-catch. Maybe I should leave a screwdriver in there to make it more competent.

Bit of a bump, but seeing as how this 'ghost' thread already exists I'll post it here. Apparently footage of a 'ghost' has been released and it's is incontrovertible.
