Unbelievably the noise I thought I'd got rid of by re-greasing my headset is back - so I think my bike is suffering the same issue here, fork creak!
I've emailed the people I bought my Giant Defy 1 from (Rutland Cycles) and I'm pleased to say they've responded positively - they've asked for a pic of the fork (for type/spec and colour match) and also a note/pic of the frame number and they're going to try to organise a hot swap with me - via courier.
I'll put updates in here - hopefully it might help.
