Well it's what the majority voted for, hopefully in about three years time things might improve.

until you get down to cost price (of complete manufacture) plus some profit, taxes, shipping and some profit for a retailer

then exchange rates are irrelevant to some extent I would have thought

basically you are paying what manufacturers and retailers think people are willing to pay - keeping buying and they'll only go one way - up

look at TVs - have the prices of those gone up post Brexit ? not really - why - because the market probably wouldn't stomach it

are retailers and manufacturers making tighter margins now - probably

I think Nvidia and the retailers are doing very very well from us ......

me personally - I'm not playing the game - my 290 OC'd is doing fine even at 1440p

Yep, brexit is really just the latest excuse for a big price hike for some manufacturers/suppliers.

Since 2008 they have been using "the recession", but that one is getting a bit old and unconvincing now.

It's like the energy suppliers. They put prices up every year saying their costs are going up. Yet they post record profits and ever growing exec bonuses every year. So it's pretty obvious where the money is really going...

It's like the energy suppliers. They put prices up every year saying their costs are going up. Yet they post record profits and ever growing exec bonuses every year. So it's pretty obvious where the money is really going...

I'm not saying this covers all changes in price but you have to take into account the most basic of blattent changes after the vote. Currently £1 buys $1.22760, before brexit it was $1.48710. Just on that alone every items priced in $ increased around 22%, i.e. that 1080 at £550 last year is £671 now just from currency changes.
