This cooler combines the features of a graphics chip cooler and RAM-coolers in an elegant and very flat watercooler. Additionally the voltage regulators are also cooled effectively.
The kryographics for R9 290X and 290 water block offers outstanding cooling performance and a low flow resistance. All mounting threads are equipped with spacers for easy installation and to prevent twisting the graphics card. The areas contacting the GPU and RAM modules are polished for excellent heat transfer. For the voltage regulators, a thermal pad with high thermal conductivity is included.
The kryoconnect water block series features a delrin connection terminal that has a significantly reduced flow resistance compared to the previous aquagraFX series. The terminal is fastened to the water block by three screws and has G1/4 inlet and outlet ports on each side for flexible installation. Two sealing screws are supplied to seal the unused connection threads. The terminal can be replaced with kryoconnect kits for SLI configurations (art. no. 23551, 23552 or 23553, not included in delivery).

EK-FC R9-290X is a high performance full-cover water block for AMD reference design Radeon R9 290X and -290 graphics card. Please check our Cooling Configurator online compatibility system for detailed compatibility list!
This water block directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC R9-290X water block also features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps. The cooling engine now uses refined, 0.6mm wide microchannel structure to even further improve the heat transfer.
Base is made of nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality acrylic glass material. The sealing is performed by quality rubber washers. Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe, painless installation procedure. Block is mounted with enclosed M3x4 DIN7985 screws.
EKWB recommends the purchase of aesthetic retention backplate (EK-FC R9-290X Backplate - Black) which improves the looks of your graphics cards and also provide some passive cooling to the VRM section.
Flow orientation doesn't matter and is thus not prescribed.
Up to four EK-FC R9-290X series water blocks can be interconnected with EK-FC Bridge & Link CSQ system. The EK-FC Link is already enclosed.

The products of our HEATKILLER® GPU-X³ series comprise more than ten years of experience in manufacturing of award-winning, high-quality, high-performance water coolers. They are produced with state-of-the-art, CNC controlled machines in our headquarters in Germany.
The most prominent features of the HEATKILLER® GPU-X³ series include superior cooling performance, excellent workmanship, slim profile, and an eye-catching design.
The technical details are just as impressive. Beside the GPU, RAM and voltage are, of course, actively cooled. An extremely fine microstructure situated right above the GPU ensures a fast transfer of heat into the coolant. Combined with a reduced residual base thickness, optimal cooling performance is achieved.
All channels are constructed as wide as possible to keep flow resistance to a minimum. This includes the connection block, which features four G1/4” threads for various connection options.
The material selection is just as free of compromise. The water bearing parts are made from ultra-pure electrolytic copper, the cover is made from stainless steel, and the connection block from industrial grade plastic (POM). Uncovered copper surfaces on the cooler’s top are covered with a clear varnish to prevent staining (oxidation).
Mounting the cooler is easy as well, partly due to isolating stand-offs in all relevant areas. Pre-cut thermal pads for RAM and voltage regulators are included, just as are an Allen-key and two sealing plugs for unused threads.
Fans of multi-GPU-setups (CF/SLI) may use optional dual- and multi-interconnects to connect several graphic card coolers with each other. Those replace the pre-installed connection blocks.
This cooler is designed for cards using the reference-PCB from the GPU-vendor (AMD/NVIDIA). It might not fit on custom-designs from graphic card manufacturers. We are proud to introduce our new design for Razor GPU blocks. We have continued with the styling from our RayStorm series so you can now have a full set of matching XSPC blocks. We have also significantly improved cooling performance by reducing the fin width from 1mm to 0.5mm, this dramatically increases the surface area.
Although we have used an acrylic top for aesthetics we have a thin stainless steel plate between the copper base and the acrylic. This allows us to use LED lighting, while keeping the strength and reliability of an all metal waterblock.
The new multiport connector gives you many choices for neatly routing your tubing. We have two G1/4? ports on the front and back of the block, two on the top, plus a side port, giving 7 ports in total. The multiport connector is compatible with our new SLI flow bridge.
