Gibbo, the solution!!!

I think it's because surely no-one is that tasteless to spend £1000's respraying it!

Surely they did it purely in jest. At least I hope so :p

Because they are wrapped the guy's who owns the car said so, I just re-read the thread I took them from...

I was referring to Firestar, from the pics you would have a hard time guessing they were wrapped at all.

I actually think the green one would look good with the black decals removed, unique looking and protecting the paintwork, bonus!

How can you even remotely tell? Or are you just agreeing to peoples post as usual....

WTF are you talking about, i was the one who said it looks like a full body wrap, See :

Aye looks like someone has given them a car wrap.

Grim!

Housemaster said it was a sticker and didn't refer to it as a wrap, so clearly i know the terms, i've seen CSL's and other cars with full body wraps before.

Get back under your rock.

It looks mean enough to pull off the green.......still wouldn't ever consider having mine look like that. If you want RS colours, get an RS!

I have seen some wraps before, and generally (in my experience), the finish is duller and less shiney than a painted finish.
I thought it was pretty obvious they are wraps!

I'm not questioning your terminology, a lot of people know what a wrap is, I am merely asking how you knew it was given a wrap rather than a spray job? You can't possibly tell from that picture (despite housemaster saying so in the OP).

I'm curious as to what gave it away to you?

Mainly i've known other CSL owners do it, but not in GT3 RS colours, granted the pictures don't really give it away but the fact that two CSL owners could have that much of a taste bypass by spraying a CSL in those colours is a bit far fetched (not to mention how much weight it would add) :p

Reading the original thread before i posted also helped me decide..

I am not going to argue about the looks as they are totally subjective, but on any other level calling a CSL boring is laughable.

it is a little bit 'boring' though isn't it? :)

i love CSL's but they do share the usual BMW 'looks like any other 3 series' look.

like you say - subjective.

I don't think any sane motoring enthusiast could ever call a CSL boring on any level.

Apart from the wheels, bumper, roof, brakes, rear defuser, interior, engine, sound, it looks like any other 3 series.

Actually I think that looks pretty good.

Wraps seem to be getting quite popular it seems, saw a Ferrari on PH recently in matt black. Looked the business in a mean kind of way.
