Gifting cheap whiskey or what else to do with it....

my light-hearted point is that too much sucking up goes on and sheep mentality ,i may be a bit flaky but i have my own opinions

As some others have mentioned, cooking is the best option with cheap booze. I've never made any recipes with whisky but a quick Google returns plenty. Learn a new recipe and hopefully get something tasty to eat at the end :)

I wouldn't gift it personally, unless you know someone would like it. I wouldn't knowingly give someone a low quality gift. That said, based on my quick search for reviews it doesn't sound like it's all that bad. If you know anyone who just enjoys a drink then they might appreciate it.

The irony that you are saying we are sheep for not liking cheap plonk. Yet that crap is literally made for the mass produced low-income market (i.e. actual sheep).

I would probably agree with the suggestions use for mixer ect, but i would actually have to taste and smell the product first before writing it off, because big boy with the post count says it is so

However, don’t go thinking that blended scotch is inferior to single malt! Blended scotch can be equally complex, delicious, and thought-provoking as their single malt counterparts. With regards to taste differences, the differences go far beyond the simple question of single malt vs. blended. Aging time, vessel, peat, and other factors have just as much—if not more—to do with the final flavor profile of a given scotch, whether blended or single malt.

Copy and paste obviously and i doubt t is s fine whisky but at least taste the damn thing

I would either drink it mixed with ginger ale or make a fruit cake with it, I always put whiskey in my Christmas cakes but as I never have blended (unless it's Jameson's) most of my cakes are made with single malt, this years have Penderyn madeira finish in them

as when i am not on sick i work in a distillery and as i am not a total drinks snob. would give it a taste and find out who blends and bottles it,
or option 2 follow forum sheep ,that seems to be the way on here
I like this response.

Someone will enjoy it, could be used as a mixer or as it's that time of year, a hot toddy.

You didn't just infer that somehow someone's post count has any bearing on the validity of their posts, did you?

If anyone is proof to the contrary, it's me. I have a fairly high post count yet most of the stuff I post is absolute drivel, and so are a few others here, the most notable of which is Mags who is barely intelligible on his best days.

Phh you don't have a fairly high post count.

Your post count has made your point more valid than mine. I am humbly retracting my statement and bow down to your bigger number superiority :(
I wouldn't say my post count is that high either tbh (just had to actually check what it was too!)

Wait, I'm a sheep because I'm poor..

Jeez, the audacity!!
Depending on where you draw the line we are all poor

I'll point you to my post where I said I'd happily drink it, if it makes you feel better.

Hey, whiskey and coke is my staple!!

Just because I'm too sheepish to afford anything better.. ;)

All jokes aside, I can admit with all seriousness that I have never tasted an "expensive" spirit..

Jeez, is it really that bad?
I write as someone whose knowledge of whisky would fit on the back of a postage stamp.
I only drink vodka and the occasional bourbon like Buffalo Trace.
Sometimes I’ll drink Canadian Club or Crown Royal, which I believe are rye whiskeys.
