Hi
I ordered this motherboard to be installed in a bespoke build pc, and when it arrived my colleague noticed that the CPU heat warning and CPU fan fail warning were set to disabled in the BIOS. I am told that this is the default for all Gigabyte motherboards ....
Is this correct? If you are a general pc user without in-depth hardware knowledge you wouldn't know to look for this setting, and I would have thought the default would be ON rather than OFF?
Can anyone advise me on this? What is the impact of turning these settings to ON - will it damage anything?
Any feedback appreciated

I suspect it will rely on having a case speaker connected anyway, and the vast majority of cases don't seem to have one these days. (It would basically beep if it detected zero RPM on the CPU fan).

The CPU should throttle anyway if it determines it is overheating.
