lol this DS4 is weird, sometimes it wont POST at all and then sometimes it will. Currently priming @ 340 x 9 - 3GHz. Any one else using this Gigabyte DS4 and an E6600 please post in here with your findings, results etc as i want to compare them, also BIOS settings would be great :)

Ok getting further now, changed Memory Settings to Auto instead of Manual 4-4-4-12 and computer now boots, also a tip, when you want to overclock ore dont restart the computer, shut down wait a bit and then turn on as i had problems with monitor coming on when just restarting :p. Priming @ 3.15GHz

FSB +0.25v
MCH +0.25v
MEMORY +0.3v
PCI-E +0.1v
Vcore 1.375v

Edit:
Failed Prime, trying higher Vcore

not liking this motherboard tbh, i can see it works great with the E6300 but i cant get anywhere with my E6600, running at 330 x 9 now (E6800 speed). I keep getting this really long beep and then the computer restarts when i try higher FSB from previous, then it turns itself on and sometimes POST's but at default chip speed and sometimes it turns on and Monitor doesnt work .. getting really annoyed

This is an absolute joke, PC is 100% stable @ E6800 Speeds yet when i restart the computer it takes a while to start and then it beeps, then POST's (without me seeing anything because monitor aint turned on yet) and Windows loads but when i check CPU-Z it loads up default speeds? this is seriously pi**ing me off, if i turn off the computer and then turn on the clock speeds (usually) stay the same, but i cant reboot ??? any ideas guys as this is a joke, using F2 BIOS

I'm hoping to overclock my E6600 on the same board - doesn't sound too promising.

I'm 100% new to OC'ing - is there a lock for the PCI's so that I don't push them beyond what they're meant to run at?

yeh you dont need to worry about things like that bud :), im just trying out some BIOS's from xtremesystems so ill post back with my results, i wish Gigabyte would release some new official BIOS's as i was hoping to overclock this chip without having all these restart issues and POST's

Yep the DS4 is pants with a 6600. It also screws the memory timings up. The post issue is a royal pain. I'm using a P5W DH which a far better

yeh definetly BIOS i think asgard m8y as i have no problem with POST, shutdown and restart now so im gonna keep overclocking to see where i can get too. Prime stable @ E6800 speeds so far ... im off out to get drunk now so ill add some results tommorow :)

Haven't had chance to put my E6600 in the DS4 yet, I'm still having far to much fun with my E6300 at 3.4Ghz.

Might give it a go later.

Would be interested to know what you think. Gave up on mine. The DS4 is out and a P5W DH is in along with a 6600. My 6300 is currently beating the 6600 OC in benchmarks, lol.

Hi Asgard, been playing with my DS4 E6600 and the Geil 6400 ram, not getting very far I must admit, this BIOS details about voltage is rubbish, the ram for instance says + voltage but from where what does the motherboard set ram voltage to as standard? Seems crazy I've been upping the voltage and messing with the speeds not even got as far as changing timings best I can get is around 3GHz super pi 32 stable, I must say unless I can get it going soon I might try the Asus as well is it that much better?
Also can't find a F3 BIOS for the DS4 have found them for the DS3.
What sort of ram voltage increase should I go for and what voltage would you feed the CPU?
