Hi guys, not really a problem, but ive noticed that when i boot up my pc the screen after the bios where the SATA drives are detected takes upto 10-15 seconds to go through.
Ive got 2 SATA drives(non RAID) connected to the Intel slots rather than the Jmicron ones. Everything works fine, its just it takes so long to get through this screen and i was wondering what i could configure to make it get past it faster.

Thanks.

you got any external sata devices? a long shot - but my normal bios takes FOREVER to post with an external usb cd drive - totaly different motherboards and stuff but just an idea :)

nope, no external devices connected. just 2 SATA drives (raptor and seagate barra) plus dvd drive on IDE.

If theyre not raided make sure the bios is set to IDE

in case your not sure where :
go onto Integrated Peripherals
and set
Sata Raid/Ahci mode to disabled

then it'll skip the raid bios detection screen and boot way quicker, mines raided and i wish there was a way to speed up that bit :(

I just recently had the exact same problem with my DS4 and I was using a 74Gb Raptor....

I couldn't figure out was it was, as the board had worked fine before... So I ended swapping the 74GbRaptor for another 36Gb Raptor... and the problem went away....

But I know the 74Gb Raptor is also fine...

btw - I'm using Bios Ver: F5c
