Hi All

I used to use 2 x 1TB HDD's in RAID 0 configuration ( Striped ) for my Windows 10 operating system but having moved over to a single SSD for my OS I have not used the old HDD RAID 0. I now need to have the old 1TB HDD's available as backup devices and need to delete the old RAID 0 array in order o format them and make them usable. I plan to put one of them in my HTPC and will store my music and movies on it. I left the old HDD's in my PC case just in case I needed any data from them but have not accesses them for a number of years now. Yesterday I disconnected my SSD and re connected the old HDD's and can boot to the OS without any issues. The drives work perfectly as they are so will make great little storage drives for my HTPC.

When I boot the PC I hit CTRL + F when prompted in order to go into the RAID setup screen but the PC continues to boot into the OS on the RAID 0 1TB HDD's. So put simply I am unable to access the RAID tool on my Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P motherboard in order to delete the RAID array.

I have tried changing the HDD setup in my BIOS to AHCI but this has not worked so far. I can access my BIOS without issue by pressing DEL when booting.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

I made a typo in the title of this post, can someone please edit it as I am unable to myself. The title should read GA-MA770T-UD3P not GA-ME770T-UD3P.

Thanks

Hi All, just to close off this request for support. I removed and re inserted the BIOS battery on the motherboard and everything works Ok now. I can now access the RAID tool on the motherboard and have destroyed the RAID array etc.
