Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R USB issue

Hiya

I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R motherboard and a card reader plugged into one of the onboard USB ports. When the system is shut down the card reader is still powered. Anbody know how to cure this?.

You might have 'power on by usb ----' on in the BIOS which will probably keep USB alive.

Hiya

Thanks for the suggestion, I have "Power On By Ring" disabled, "Power On By Mouse" disabled & "Power On By Keyboard" disabled. I don't see an option for "Power On By USB ----" in the bios. Does anybody have any more ideas??.

Turn it off at the power supply or wall socket??

as far as i know you cant turn it off other then unpluging the comp
its for a load of things like recharging USB items.
phones/mice ect
