Hi was just wondering as im going to be getting the Gigabyte GA_965P_S3 (Socket 775) motherboard and a Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.80GHz, when ive got the money lol. what revision the motherboard is as there's 2 (v1.0 and 3.3) as i cant find it in the description on the ocuk website, been to the gigabyte wedsite only difference i can see is there is a PWR fan connector just left of the floppy connector. just thought this would be the best place ask. if somebody could help me thanks :)

I found this
Revision 1 and this revision 3.3
Revision 3.3 Supports Intel Core™ 2 Duo processors with FSB1333

It might be the revison 1 board as it would have the line above in it. Sorry i am not much help :( , one of the members who have this board might be able to tell you or email OcUK and ask them ;)

OcUK stock the rev3.3 boards.

The 3.3 revision uses all solid state capacitors. This means a longer life and therefore for most people reliability in prolonged overclocking.

Also as UltraDad pointed out is has the 1333mhz FSB.

I got mine from OCUK and it was the 3.3 version but they don't seem to be stocking it anymore but when it was listed is was advertised as the 3.3 version.

There are lots of good threads and post's on the mobo.

Thanks everyone!!!! for the help :) so either board I should be fine just wanted know because I wanted upgrade, my stuffs getting old lol p4 630 3ghz, Gigabyte GA-8N-SLIpro, 1gig (2x512)pariot ddr2 667mhz, nvidia 6800xt 256mb(pci-e). I manage get hold of c&c3 Tiberium Wars " Kane Edition, run's ok untill there's lot's of battle's going on etc (or lots of units on screen) and starts slugging. What a want to get is

Gigabyte GA_965P_S3 (Socket 775)

Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.80GHz

Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

and hopefully in time get another gigbyte of memory.

see if that solve's it.

Awhile back there was a direct short on 1 of my harddrives, whitch took my motherboard and psu out aswell, since then i got a new psu and motherboard using the same cpu&memory. but since, the cpu seems to go under voltage all the time, even when i set it back to default it just drops on itself, arnt sure if the short might of damaged it. picture is idle state.

Looks like a Speedstep voltage.
