Gigabyte GTX970 display-port problem...RMA?

Run a 3 monitor setup, at least I was until I plugged my new Gigabyte 970 G1 in!

2 x Dell 2412M's sit either side of a Dell U3014.
3014 and the right hand 2412 connected by Displayport, the left 2412 by DVI-D.
Running latest Nvidia driver 344, motherboard with latest Bios.

DVI-D and DVD-I ports fine.
But only 1 display-port seems to be working...
tested both cables on working port, all fine. Both monitors work through it ok.

No matter what cable and what monitor I use, what combination of connections... only one Display-port works.

Has anyone else experienced problems running multi monitors via display-port?
Suppose I could connect my 3rd monitor using DVI, but should I have to really?
Have I an RMA issue you think?

A workaround is 1 monitor DVI-D, 2nd working displayport and 3rd HDMI
Do I lose anything quality wise over 3 monitors connected via Display-port?
Digital connection is digital, so the same anyway?

thanks.

not sure what is going on with one of the display ports not working, but no you lose nothing using HDMI on one of the 2412M's

display port and HDMI are basically the same, just displayport tends to be first with new versions supporting higher resolutions at higher refresh rates, but for your 2412M's they work the same with no loss in quality

Thanks.

...I'm using the HDMI on the 3014 though, which I run at 2560x1600.
No HDMI input on the 24's.

Ok for this, I'm using a high speed V1.4 cable.
image certainly looks fine?

ta.

Anyone?

Any idea why two of the Displayports aren't working?
Thinking his cant be normal...though quite a lot of discussion about the 9xx series having DP probs?

Thanks.

As it turned out the OCIe socket on my board wasn't playing nice with the card.
A beta BIOS update took care of that, all working great now, albeit onbly on PCIe x8 not x16.

Any slowdown in performance worth worrying about using x8?
