Hell yes.

Not much out yet, a few optimistic places think April for a release date. An overclockable mini-itx board which doesn't have Zotac written on it, my mind goes to an i3 530 at 4ghz as a home theatre/office pc.

Please add any information you come across to this thread.

Yep, prior to this it was DFI's mini-itx board I was looking at. There's an intel one which will not be capable of overclocking, and a Zotac one which is sadly made by Zotac. Objections to Zotac include their reputation for support and that they've crippled the bios on their H55 board. DFI put some gentle limits in place to reflect that taking a quad core over 4ghz can burn out the board mosfets, but that's a lot better than just removing qpi adjustments entirely.

Apparently so. I'm surprised to see that. Although, as it offers no control over qpi voltage or vcore it's not going to outperform the Zotac. I remain excited about the Gigabyte board.

Gigabyte Readies Feature-Packed Mini-ITX LGA1156 Motherboard
Gigabyte is readying a new motherboard in the mini-ITX form-factor which is bound to surprise some with its feature-set. The GA-H55N-USB3 is a socket LGA1156 motherboard based on the Intel H55 chipset, supporting the entire range of LGA1156 processors with a powerful 4+2 phase VRM. The socket is wired to two DDR3 DIMM slots for dual-channel memory, which is powered by its own 2-phase circuit. Gigabyte was able to accommodate five SATA channels by the chipset, making space for one eSATA, and four internal SATA 3 Gb/s ports with RAID support.

Its lone expansion slot is a full-bandwidth PCI-Express 2.0 x16, while being based on the H55 chipset, it also supports Intel Flexible Display Interface for processors with embedded graphics. On its connectivity front it doesn't make many compromises either, with 8+2 channel HD audio with optical SPDIF connector, a two-port USB 3.0 controller giving out two USB SuperSpeed ports, gigabit Ethernet, Keyboard/Mouse combo PS/2, four USB 2.0 ports on the rear-panel + four by internal headers, and display connectivity which includes DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. The GA-H55N-USB3 is expected to be out in April.

any news on release date and price of this board? I'm thinking of building a mini-itx gaming machine and this board might fit the bill for the right price....

It was "officially launched" yesterday. As far as I can tell that means nothing whatsoever.

If its for gaming you may prefer the dfi P55 offering, as it'll use the same processors, just wont let you use the onboard graphics.

Had a look at the dfi p55 board but it only has 3 sata ports and usb2 for what looks like a similar price to what theyre selling this board for in the EU after a quick look. Is Clockers gonna get this in stock and if so is there an eta and price range?
