Gigabyte H55 mini-itx

I wouldn't dare trying to seriously OC an i7 in the board Tom.

Probably melt like the DFI does when doing some serious overclocking. :D :D

hmmm

not looking good then, no headroom and no h50 support. :(

Plenty of headroom with the right chips, I personally wouldn't have anything higher than a i5 750 overclocked if you want your system for long term use.

The H50 will fit with slight modification. Although you would be hard pressed to find a mini ITX case that will support the H50 either.

apparently a tiny thing on the underside stops an h50 fitting?

and ha Azza, I can but dream of a 4ghz beast the size of a toaster ;)

edit:
The H50 will fit, just get a washer thicker than the transistor on the backside of the board, problem solved.

interesting, but still.. hmmm

Mine arrived today, havent had chance to open the case yet will get to that tomorrow. Had a poke around in the mobo box and i have to say im impressed, overall presentation is awesome.

Good looking box, loads of info and good cables. Very impressive!

i know it doesnt work like this, but what would really do it for me is:
1. swap the chipset for a p55
2. ditch the video output circuitry and maybe the nec chip/usb 3.0
3. shuffle things around a bit to free up space around the socket
3. use the aforementioned freed up space to cram another power phase or two in

in other words, ditch the fat, and add more (in the words of jezza) POWERRR!

I assume some folks who bought this board have now made use of it.

There are currently still no reviews, so either 1 or 2 stars reviews have went in and been blocked, or no one has bothered to review it at all.

Now to the questions:
What coolers have people used with this board?
What RAM are people using on this board?
How do you find it generally?
