Gigabyte laptops....any good?

Hi
Been looking for a new laptop, was going to get a macbook air
But for similar money can get an i7 gaming gigabyte laptop
But worried about warranty/ build quality etc

For those who have one, what was/is your experience of it like?

I'd be interested to know as well,looking at a variety of laptops and the p15f stands out quite a bit. It would be nicer if the 850m had GDDR5 VRam instead of DDR3 Though as people seem to **** the latter off as the performance difference is quite large.

Hi Guys,

I bought a Gigabyte P35w CF1 back in July from OCUK.

Experience so far has been very good. I can list you some Pros and Cons of the laptop in my honest opinion:

PROS:
Light weight 2.2+KG
Ultra slim design
DvD ROM
IPS Panel
Great hardware packed into this machine
Backlit keyboard
2 year INT warranty

CONS:
Keyboard has flex
Fingerprint magnet
Looks quite big for a 15.6 laptop (Big bezels)
Fan noise is quite high

Considering what I have written above, The Pros trump the cons and it is no denying that this laptop does produce a lot of performance. I play BF4, Watchdogs, Titanfall, AC4 and all game have produced 60 fps or playable frames. I would highly recommend this laptop.

As for build quality, I believe its a aluminum/plastic chasis but I could be wrong but it is very sturdy and does not flex.

I've had my P35K (CF4) for some time now, around 9 months IIRC
It has been faultless in operation, and I actually use it most week days as my work laptop. Plenty of power on tap, for gaming or whatever, and not much competition out there in the slim and light(ish) stakes, aside from the MSI GS models.
As above, keyboard is not as good as perhaps I would like - in terms of flex - but it is minimal and, as I said earlier, I use it pretty much every day for work.

Much as the others have said, I have to agree about the sometimes dodgy keyboard/ket press and the fingerprint magnet.

No other real complaints.
