Gigabyte mobo not working with corsair PSU

Is their any LED Code or does it not even get that far?I bought it within a month of it being released i.e. June 2013

Yeah does not get that far, it's on and off in an instant.

Yeah post the board and collect it after I'm done.

You mean post the board to you? yeah I might take you up on that thanks, I'll rule out the PSU first and let you know.

Thinking about it I don't think it is the CPU becuase it did boot up and get as far as bios only the once though. I'll try another PSU and if that fails I'll RMA. Nelly I suppose would have to do this through the original place of purchase with it being under twelve months old?

Got a reply back from gigabyte UK rma , what do you make of that.

Dear Sir,
Our repair tam and tech support think there maybe a issue with your PSU. Therefore when dealing direct with us for this repair, we suggest you send to us your CPU, Memory and PSU with the motherboard for testing together on our repair teams test benches. Normally there is a handling fee of £15 to pay when dealing direct with us rather than sending the item back through your supplier as is the norm but because of the weight of your PSU and other hardware that we request you send in, on this occasion this £15 handling fee will not be chargeable..
However if you choose not to send the added requested hardware and only the motherboard itself, the fee will stand as per our normal terms and conditions for RMA repair (attached) our repair team can then only test/repair your item with their own compatible hardware and if no issue is found, we will inform you first by e mail with screenshot images before returning the item.
To proceed, please forward scanned copy of invoice/receipt of the item purchased and also the serial number of the board (see attached also). Further instructions will then follow.
Regards

send the lot in,if its free:D

they want to test and maybe fix it with a revised bios, seen this a lot over on tweaktown

Got a 600w tagan PSU and still the same thing so I'm going to say the mobo is DOA, I highly doubt it's the CPU as it did initially boot up and even if it was the CPU the mobo would still post an error code. I have messaged you Nelly.

it could have damaged the board on that first bootup idk,i doubt its cpu either

id let gigabyte test it/look it over though

TBH mate I can't be bothered sending half my kit across the country when I know it's not the PSU, I have been without my rig for over a week now as I sold my ivy setup on here. If it needs to be RMA'd it should be with the retailer, at least they won't charge you.

Just sent reply, will give you your money back, plus return postage. :)

Not sure what I'm going to do with it... Might be a good excuse for me to try it myself, I've got a 4770K still sealed waiting to be used.

Thanks I have replied, I appreciate your understanding and response on this matter.

TBH I think you need to RMA it back to the retailer.

Refund sent. :) Let me know how much courier is and I'll refund that to, my own fault for not even bothering to try it prior to sending.

I've got a gut feeling it will be the Intel Pentium G3220 as it wasn't released till 1st September 2013, I bought the board around May/June 2013.

To be honest I'm not entirely sure how Intel chipsets behave when requiring a BIOS update. With AMD it will definitely let you in the BIOS so an update can be done.

Thanks got it. As I stated in email I'll cover the cost of return postage as you're already out of pocket sending it.

Please if you can test it do and let me know how it goes. Personally I don't think the CPU would prevent it from powering up and giving an error code, although I could be wrong about that.

I was debating purchasing your board new as I really like it but I thought better of it and got the Asus hero for delivery tomorrow, £15 more expensive, couldn't be without my rig this weekend.

A bit late to the party, but, i have that exact motherboard and PSU running together.

It came with bios f5 and updated to bios f7 both versions worked fine.

Also CPU is a 4770.

Just some info, as i say maybe too late for you. Hope you get it sorted.

EDIT: Thought the vid was yours, i have the 860i PSU
