Gigabyte P35-DQ6 Memory Recognised?

Hi, Probably an easy question to OcUK PC Guru's, I have installed 4x1Gig Ballistix Memory on my Gigabyte P35-DQ6, and it is showing 3326MB in the system properties, any logical reason why 4Gig is not showing on the system desktop. Thanks in advance for any help...

That's why! Only 64bit Versions recognize full 4GB. I guess you've got VGA 8800 . In 32bit OS is 4GB minus size of your VGA RAM

Your system is probably running slower with 4Gb than it does with 2Gb - try it with 2Gb taken out and bench it to see if it speeds up. It was never designed to run with 4Gb of RAM, but it is optimised to use 2Gb. It's very odd, but true.

System is running really well, much faster than my last 2GB system.... Super Smooooooooooooth...
