Having problems overclocking, been told to change my fsb:ram to 1:1, but where the heck in the bios do i change this? Theres system memory multiplyer SPD but that doesnt do anything.

Anyone know?

Cheers.

ok found it, the only options it gives are 2.5, 3, 3.5 etc, i set it to 2.5 and although its not quite 1:1, its near enough, ive got my e6400 from 2.4 to 2.8 so far.

Press Enter on the option and go up and down the list to find x2. It's not positioned on the list where you would expect it to be. There'll be x2.4 and x4 options too.

oh wait, just found 2.0 :p, thanks a lot :)

Now that its at 1:1, and the memory isnt running at over 900mhz, do you reckon i could put it back to 44412 and not 55515?

At 350x8? If so then yeah you can. You *might* also be able to get 4-4-4-12 using the x2.4 memory multiplier. That will have the memory running at 840mhz.

running at 2.9ghz now, gonna go for 375x8 so 3ghz, and run prime95 or orthos overnight or something, my geil was running at 900 earlier without my realising so hopefully i should be ok.

well ive started getting instability for some reason, i got a bsod but it was something to do with drivers, ive put it back to 2.8, gonna run some memory and cpu tests and make sure its ok, and leave it at that for now.

Thanks for your help :)
