Just purchased the P35-DS4 Gigabyte board for my Q6600 CPU.

Ive slightly overclocked the chip to 3GHZ and it runs perfectly..

The problem I am having is that on several occasions the pc has locked up and I have had to physically turn off the pc to get back into the operating system, but as its rebooted I have noticed that the bios resets itself and goes back down to 2.40GHZ.

It has done this on several occasions and I dont know what can be causing this problem...

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks

yes but it also resets itself when its running at stock as well...

Intermittent problem again.. doesnt do it all the while...

Resets the bios completly at stock and still changes all the settings back to factory stock..

Its also reset itself and then when starting to load windows it just resets itself and goes thru the whole process again..

I eventually had to put a fresh copy of xp on my machine just to get it to be able to boot....

Im well fed up with this.. Never had this problem on my Asus P5B..

Thanks
