I am thinking of purchasing a P43 board. I've heard that the north and southbridges can become very hot and lead to stability issues.....is this so?

The board will not be overclocked so it might not be an issue for me ( i hope!)
I'd like a few opinions ( especially from people who own the gigabyte boards) please.

I don't really want to spend over £100 for a board as i don't need Crossfire or RAID.......The EP45-UD3L looks quite nice, although i've heard there's an issue with the onboard sound if using XP SP3

I'll have to make my mind up eventually,so i hope you guys and gals can help persuade me.

Many Thanks

Thanks Plec,
Before purchasing my new motherboard i'm trying to find out as much as possible. I've been perusing several gigabyte boards ( always go for gigabyte), i'm still trying to narrow it down to a board thats fairly cheap ( don't need all the bells and whistles)...but has good cooling of the N & S bridge. At the moment i'm leaning to the GA-EP45 UD3L......but that could change..
