just bought this card was testing battlefield 4 and got a directx error could not get error information as it closed quickley, now have screen tearing anyone know what causes this?

just installed card today, only tested company of heroes 2 bad fps but that was same as last card (GTX 580) bf4 lasted 10 min then came up error,

downloaded directx from windows but says i have current version
 
is your voltage at stock and powertune target at 100% ?

BF4 is very finicky when it comes to voltage with these cards
 
the card is basically just out the box and put in machine havent done anything to it, so should be all set.

msi afterburner:

core Voltage(mV) states nothing- bar is at minimum
powerlimit- inbetween min and max (+0)
core clock - 1100
memory clock 1500
fan speed auto
 
if it helps my system is

crosshair formula iv am3
8gb ram
phenom 2 x 6 1090t @ 3.2ghz
pwer supply is corsair hx 1000watt
 
would it have anything to do with catalyst driver, look on internet and have seen some people saying install catalyst 13.9 drivers

turn the core clock to around 1000-1050 and see if it still crashes etc

1100 is a pretty high core and the card might not be giving enough voltage at demanding times.

BF4 is very finicky as I said.

I'm not sure what drivers I'm using but they are very stable for me

they were the latest beta drivers for this card at the time around the 14th of December I think.

if your getting a blackscreen > back to game then it's likely the graphics card driver restarting from an error , usually because the card is not getting enough volts for the clock rate it's at.

happens to me almost instantly after I load a game with my under volted mining settings

uninstalled drivers and put in your current ones and set core to 1000 seems everything is going ok, manged to get bf4 playing for longer.
