I don't understand this at all... You were able to offer them at the above price for however long, but now can't because... why?

Has it suddenly become much more expensive for you to buy them in?
 
It's all the peeps trying to mine lite/bit coins that have pushed up demand for AMD cards (AMD are best cards for mining) and so shops cash in on demand :) economics 101

Supply and demand. I imagine OCUK wanted rid of the 7990s they had stock and were worried about them not selling. Now, with the boom of mining, OCUK feel they can set an arguably ridiculously high price and people will buy ;)
