I sent Gigabyte a failed ssd which I've had for 18 months and they said "no fault found" and sent me a youtube link showing this. The last time I checked the smart status, it showed 10TB writes and 800 power cycles. The drive I got back is showing 10GB writes and 8 power cycles. I received the same ssd back with the same serial no so it's not a new drive and, according to Gigabyte, it's not been repaired. How has my ssd become new again?
