Gigabyte UD5 RAM Upgrade Question

Hi,

I have 12gb of Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz ram installed (3x4)
Will I get any performance gain from upgrading?
What are my best options please?

Would another 4g stick be worthwhile (will that lower my o/c?), or is x2 8g sticks better?

Think performance may be about the same, as the UD5 is optimised for tri channel and if you add another stick of RAM it will drop to dual channel.

You will of course gain a extra 4gb, but in my opinion 12gb should be enough and not worth the outlay.

Maybe think about upgrading your GPU. What monitor have got?

Thinking GTX 1060 6gb or RX 580 if you are on 1080p.

I am currently looking at upgrading to a GTX1080ti & a 21:9 monitor
Will squeeze a bit more our of my current setup before the mobo/cpu/ram upgrade I think
