have mine in the top and second one in the 2nd GPU pcie slot 
Got it all running ok with the 8pack 3600 ram and nvme drive outside of case atm
Bios is F3
Should i update to latest before i start loading all my crap back on?
As in is there any problems with later bioses and can i flash back to previous if i do?
Sure i read somewhere that `some` mobos would not let you flashback

Yes you can flash back and forth the bios, there's a new F6 bios for the board which might help with ram stablity. I'm still on F5 which has been stable for me, the bios also adds NVMe configuration in the bios.
