***Gigabyte Z68 Hybrid-EFI to UEFI Flashing***

It could well have been although changing the ratio is meant to not work with this bios but it's working perfect for me this time.

I think I will just leave it alone now as it is working perfect so well in fact I'm now at 4.8Ghz with the same volts and temps as 4.6Ghz on the previous bios.

I was going to upgrade but tbh I think i will keep this setup going for a while longer now it's running great again.

Anyone know of any problems with the GA-Z68-D3-B3 bios not allowing you to boot Ivy CPU?

If I clear the CMOS before powering on it will let me into the bios but then on next reboot it won't even POST.

Have re-flashed the bios and still get the same problem, i'm not missing something stupidly simple am i?

Nope, should just work as usual.

Hi Guys
Three years later I decided to flash my Gigabyte Z68A-D3-B3 board from F11 to UEFI U1B.

Few reason:

1. XMP didnt work properly for me with F11, U1B works flawlessly
2. Boot Times are faster
3. Other stuff I probably dont know about

Problems:

CPU Fan - Didnt work. Some kind of bug with the CPU FAN Header under this new BIOS.
Solved with buying a cheap little fan kit to plug into my PSU, connected this to my CPU FAN Header and the CPU Fan to this kit (By kit its literally just a splitter)

Works OK

On Going Problem for me:

VCORE is greyed out (Blued out in this case)

Which is why I am writing here, did any of you ever manage to tweak your VCORE with the UEFI on z68 board?
Ive read pressing CTRL+F1 / ALT+F1 opens up more advanced options but that does nothing for me except brings up a General Help window.

Ultimately, are any of you still using U1B or did you revert back to Legacy

Very interested to hear your responses

Hey, Xanity.... I know it is 4 years later but did you ever work out this issue with the UEFI bios no allowing a voltage adjustment? I just upgraded this board and bam... vcore offset adjustment is greyed out.

Not sure if you can reverse back from the UEFI bios to the non-UEFI.... but then you lose UEFI and the ability to use some periphirals. Not sure if I wanna be the first to try :)

Hi mate
Only just seen this, I don't bring any good news but just wanted to respond.
Honestly I don't remember what happened and reading my old post I don't even understand half of what I'm writing, I'm a little less knowledged these days.. Rusty much sorry
