Gigabyte Z77-D3H Error Code (beeps)

test each stick one at a time in the board, just one stick in either of the white slots just to confirm non are dead, then try enabling xmp if it supports it or upping the dram voltage to 1.6v or whatever its rated at and raise the cpu vtt one or two clicks

I've tried single ram in the 2nd white slot on their own and it does the loop every 3seconds or so - does that narrow down the issue to mobo after testing the ram in slot1 and memtested it fine?

Ok,you need to check CPU cooler isn't overtightened esp if its got a backplate,if no joy carefully remove CPU and check with a magnifying glass if you have one or with naked eye for any, even slightly bent CPU socket pins,be carefull though and don't touch any

Does your board have led error code clock? If so it will read c1 error if memory is in faulty slot or bent pins

IF it was too tight has that knackered the board perminantly or is loosening it usually enough for a fix? and I'll check the chip also but I dont see why it would be - fitted carefully and easily AND has been running fine for 3 weeks?

It won't ruin it but overtightened it cuts off the copper trace/power from CPU memory controller to the ram slots, same thing for bent pins due to memory controller built into CPU,a simple heatsink remount might be enough to let the mb flex back a little

more testing- just found out both sticks run fine in single chan...

tried loosening the h50 holder with no joy to booting in dual chan.

will remove mobo and try again tonight - struggling a bit as i have a broken collar bone!
