Just built a PC for my mate, seems that when the bios switch is set to bios 1 the board doesnt boot, it repeadetly goes to A6 then A9 on the debug LEDs then goes db (lower case) and restarts over and over.

If i switch to bios 2 it boots perfectly fine, can't find out what the method is for recovering this first bios which is presumably corrupt? (Reset didn't do anything) any suggestions please? :)

boot from second bios then while on switch it to #1 bios and reflash through qflash,it will recover #1 bios then

#1 bios could have outdated unsupported bios version on it,with your current hw

Damnit i was thinking thats what i might have to do, but i was too afraid to do it. I'll instruct my mate to run through that process and see how it goes. Cheers :)

Just tried to put together my build and installed windows 7, but I couldn't find driver for PCI simple communication controller. Mrbios have you got yours installed?

That's the intel management engine driver you want, it's on the DVD or you can find latest version on intels site :)

ARH!!!! I spent whole night trying to figure it out ... Thanks.

Realise I do not have a DVD drive ... which version should I download? Couldn't find Z97 chipset (too new?) download on intel site :/
