z87 vs z97 OC comparison

Ill be getting this board without a doubt, it also comes at a surprisingly low cost at about £160-£170.

Yeah not so good, but im sure theres only about 1-2fps difference from having your cards running at 16x to 8x.

Is 32 PCI-E lanes confirmed for the new chips? the boards I have seen have the second slot electrically 8x like all previous chipsets.

Guys its a direct replacement for the current Z87X-OC. Don't read too much into the name just because the current Force is a £300 beast which this isn't.

Still doesn't make it not a good board, I think its great. Unless they bring out the true force board before the haswell refresh cpus come out this one will have to do.

I'm not saying its not a good board but just responding to the "only one 16x slot comment" as it doesn't have a PLX like the current Force does.

Sorry I dont remember the prices. I was going to go home from work and pre order but by the time I got home they had been removed. The prices were similar to Z87 boards from what I remember.
