Ok so im looking for a digital camera not for anything serious. Narrowed it down to 4 and need expert opinion. Would like a compact handheld not to bulky
Got £110 so looking at :-

Kodak Easyshare Z1285 12 Megapixel
Very nice good features
like the hd feature

Kodak EasyShare M763 7.4 Megapixel
Face Detection
again the hd looks good

Panasonic DMC-FX12EB-K 7.2 Megapixel
Looks good and not to big

Fuji Finepix A920 9.03
Good reviews

Any reccomendations?

Thanks pat

Guys, Pat's looking for a "compact handheld not to bulky" and IMO that'd rule out a bridge camera. Of the four shortlisted I'd take the panasonic: You're not going to get a huge amount of manual control on one of these small compacts but it's got a lot of scene modes, a fairly decent lens and optical image stabilisation (anti-shake).

Why waste his money on a compact? It's not like the Fuji is overly large or heavy.

Just a suggestion though. Feel free to ignore.

Fuji F40FD? I've just got one and it's great for the money, has semi manual modes or just fully auto. Can't comment on the others but don't be fooled into thinking more megapixels = better.

I have a Fuji F40FD which I exchanged my Kodak Easyshare for.

The Kodak sounds great for the money but the pictures were horrible. Loads of red eye, jagged edges and bluring.

I was fooled into buying the Kodak because of the high mega pixel value. Don't let it fool you. The Fuji will take a 100 times better photos :D
