Gin and?

Silent Pool gin and Fever Tree tonic (in whichever flavour you like) over crushed ice. Done. :)
I won a tour of the Silent Pool distillery and a £50 voucher to spend in their shop in our work Christmas raffle. Up until last weekend, I don't think I've ever had gin in my life but I bought a bottle of Bluebottle Gin when I was in Guernsey earlier this year and it seemed the appropriate time to open it.

I'd say the best thing with gin in my opinion would be elderflower cordial or cranberry juice, both with lots of ice. Once had rose lemonade with gin which was amazing :)

I got the missus a bottle of Liverpool Gin for Christmas so we'll be trying out a few of the ideas in this thread in the future.

Gin is the 'in thing' of 2017 it seems. I've never tried, but may do over the new year.

Likewise, I've managed 34 years and never drank any. She went somewhere recently and tried some and decided she liked it so I thought it would be worth a punt.

I don't know how you lot can drink Gin. I tried some over Christmas and it was like drinking lighter fluid. It was Gordons Gin, so maybe its just a crap brand. I liked the sound of it as someone described the taste as "liquid Christmas trees", but it didn't fulfill the description.

That sounds like Dark Matter rum to me. It's Christmas in a bottle.

My mum drinks her gin with tonic water... seems to go well enough.

Got a bottle of boe Gin from work for Xmas and was drinking it neat. I had to mix it to take the edge off so tried what I had in the house at the time, Pepsi Max. Not awful, not great but felt wrong. I got some Schweppes lemonade the day after and again not awful and not great but felt right.

I'll get some tonic water next time I'm out and try that. I can't be arsed to fuss about with ice and fruit/veg slices.
