Ginger Beer

Now theres a manly drink.

Ginger beer is great in so many ways. Its sweet, yet not sickly, spicy and warming. My personal favourite is actually a low market brand which you will find in tescos, Old Jamaican Ginger Beer. Its cheap and yum city.

Strange as I always hated it as a kid!

Anyone else been taken by it recently?

disgusting stuff. All though good used in cocktails.

Rootbeer is where it's at.

Old Jamaican Ginger Beer is cheap, 50p in tesco for a bottle, no excuse

I've been making Moscow Mules with it over the summer. Vodka, juice of half a lime, top up with ginger beer. Delicious. Really ought to have bitters in it but I inevitably buy a bottle, use it twice then forget I have it.

Yes!

Old Jamaican is nice

Been loving 'Fentimans' ginger beer lately, got all sorts of other spices in it, very very nice, on offer at Tescos at the moment, I would highly recommend it

Old Jamaican Ginger Beer is the best, my aunt used to buy it and I always drink it when I go and see her, love the stuff, I want one now

John Smiths + ginger beer is surprisingly tasty..

Was told about it by my dad who is a total lightweight, so drinks shandys instead.

Scrap that, they taste absolutely amazing!

I am still a man.

Hated as a child, cant get enough anymore.

Old Jamaica = great.

The IDRIS stuff however, is a cure for my Athsma ??? - Weird, but true.

Root beer? - WHAT? its like drinking Germolene!!!

Lol root beer suprisingly grows on you. Drank gallons of the stuff in Thailand. Its like a tasty TCP drink!

And to the OP the Old Jamaican stuff is great, cheap but "fiery".

Heh, the thread reminded me of a friend's drink which has gin, vodka and ginger beer(I think beer) in..

They went for the cheapest of each, and you couldn't actually swallow it, because the vapour burned the inside of your nose instantly. Harsh..
