Are you saying that if the minority is small enough, say 1 in a million, then its ok or right to offend them without guilt? :confused:

no im saying 1 in a million doesnt have a sense of humour.

how many gingers actually found it offensive enough to complain? what about the gingers who are totally fine with it.

a card saying, santa loves all children even black ones and having black children on his lap would have tescos set on fire I dont see how this is any difference?

So because they found it offensive this means they dont have a sense of humour, replace ginger with Jewish or black and then tell the people complaining that they dont have a sense of humour. No matter how you try to justify it, its still ignorant and offensive.

The point is that "santa likes ginger kids too" implies that santa liking ginger kids is something noteworthy, that one would not normally expect santa to like ginger kids. Try replacing the word "ginger" with "black".
 
I was talking to my mate about this recently. He happens to be ginger and he said he found it very offensive, just because ginger kids have it a lot harder than other kids, especially in school.

I know he was bullied a lot in school for being ginger, so seeing something like this could make him feel a bit better about it.

Is it any different than them printing a card that says 'Even Black ones' or 'Even fat ones'.

Why should this not be offensive? IMO, it is.

Agreed. It's making fun at someone else's expense. If they wish to make a "funny" card they should try using their imagination rather that making a cheep dig and people who have different colour hair.

It is offensive, that is pretty much the point, it is offensive humour. Likely to be bought for a ginger with a sense of humour. There are lots of "humourous" cards that are offensive.

Come on then make us a Christmas card that appeals to the large group of the population that likes"controversial " humour.

Without insulting/mocking or in anyway making it at the expense of anyone.

I think this is the point that has been sadly overlooked by the stupid bint with red hair with no sense of humour.

I was bullied for being clever, wearing glasses, having big feet etc. Should everything related to these be banned?

I still get ribbed at work for having size 14 feet. So what? I really couldnt care less. I actually have a sense of humour!
