How can you be so sure it's his son?
In general I agree, you really NEED a DNA test. She is a horrible woman and you need to accept there is no future with her.

ok, my input on this;
1) get a DNA test
2) this may sound harsh, get yourself tested, if she's been sleeping about and then sleeping with you there is a risk you could have picked something up
3) Don't let her use your (possible) son as a bargaining chip.

Whether or not he genetically is his son remains to be seen, it sounds like the lad has no doubt in his mind that the child is his, so what if the child isn't his, him being there is better than nothing.

Question to jonnybmac: What IF the child turns out not to be yours, which is unlikely going by what you wrote, does this mean that you will stop contact with the child?

I had a male friend have problems with his partner a number or years ago. Basically what you have said is the same story as my friend. She was a psycho queen and he was very gulible. In the end she was going off the rails acting crazy and doing crazy stuff. I had to help him and so i adviced him to pursue custody of his son. Which he did and now is bringing up his boy in a much more stable environment. Needless to say she kept sleeping around and had 3 more kids.. all of which are in care. Dont think for a second as a father you have no rights.. you have as much rights as her. Do as others suggested get that DNA so that side of thing is confirmed and for goodness sake stop thinking and talking about her. Who do you love more her or your son, So get your priorities right mate, concentrate on your son.

She is treating as a complete and total muppet. She is only using you when her new boyfriends have finished with her, she comes back running to you when there is no one around because she know you will look after her until she finds someone new to open her legs to. when they leave she will come running back to you.
This women will do everything she can to not let you get a DNA test as she knows there is no reason for you to hang around when you find out its not your son.
THIS CHILD IS NOT YOURS.... Take out a large bank loan and sell all your stuff and leave the UK and start a new life in a new country. Thats the only way to get over this crap. Do this or you will end up killing yourself or someone else. Its sounds as though you are very close to this point, the girl will play you more but i do not think you can take any more of it. Get out before its too late.

DNA Test is a MUST if you wish to take this down the legal route, your ex obvs slept with anyone that winked her way, so you have no way to prove this little lad is indeed your own, my aunt adopted a little lass and she also was a spit of my uncle, my cousin had a lad that has birght orange hair, her and her husband are as blonde as they come, POINT > looks mean nothing in new born.
Dont try and get even with her new fella, let him deal with it too, you owe him nothing and she must-ant care about others feelings so it wont bother her even if this new chap upped and left.
Make a note of every communication you have with her and seek legal advice.

GET A DNA TEST £400 isn't worth the rubbish you are growing through.
Think of YOUR SON, NOT YOU!! He's currently being treated like a possession. It's about time you realise you are a father, do what is best for son not you. It will never work with this woman, how can you not see that?
You are both acting so incredibly immature. All she wants is attention from men, so whenever she sees you not interested she does something that makes you interested. YOU act like a member of some teen drama. Stop being so dramatic and pull it together.
You desperately need to grow up and realise that your responsibilities go beyond some feelings for a girl who doesn't care about, you have a son.
You've known her since you were 17 years old. There are a lot more women in the world and far more sensible.
If anything her moving away from you is the best thing that could happen, it will give you time and space to realise how over the top you are being. It will also make your trips to see your son more meangingful.

Do the DNA test and then try and get a court order to keep her from contacting you!
