How can you say you are making all the effort if she is the one driving to see you all the time you guys have been together?
 
you have a license but refuse to get a car because your mrs has a car.....

why not grow a pair of balls and get a car and at least take it in turns driving to each other!

Some girls just don't enjoy driving and would enjoy trips out etc more if they didn't need to drive. That's not the same thing as expecting a free chauffeur, is it?

It's hardly surprising that OcUK has taken the side of the OP - it always does - but reading between the lines she doesn't seem to be being THAT unreasonable. The OP refuses to visit her because he 'thinks a car is a waste of money' and expects her to come to him all the time - regardless of the offer of paying for the fuel perhaps she doesn't want to be the one who is out all the time?

Then she'd probably have appreciated sharing the driving on holiday but nope, too much hassle for the OP.
 
Sounds like you are socially incompatible.

Either raise your game or walk away. Clearly you are not the one making all of the effort if she has regularly been driving 30 mins to you on weekends.

Whenever there is a 1 sided element like this - the relationship is generally on an uphill struggle.

Glad it's not just me that thought the OP is being lazy...

She didn't articulate herself well by saying she needs a man to drive her around, but at the end of the day the OP is essentially sitting on his ass waiting for her to drive 30mins to his every weekend. If he doesn't want a car then he should be happy enough to take public transport.

Sounds like the OP is not that into her to be honest..
 
She's got a child and she has to drive to see you all the time and you wonder why she's getting fed up?

As above she's annoyed because it's one sided and probably doesn't think you're making the effort.

WHAT!? OcUK GD always seems falls over itself in an effort to look down on the OP and show how much better they are. You're one of the worst ones for it.

Indeed. Offering money for fuel is like offering to buy a round and then giving a 20 to your mate to go and order the drinks.

It does not quite cut it or represent equal effort.

Catching a bus is a step in the right direction but then if she still has to drive when you get there.......
