Girls banned from Wearing Skirts in 40 schools who instead adopt Gender Neutral uniforms

It's amazing how I'm 38 but already feel like some kind of Granddad who grew up in a different age.

Our society has never been so morally corrupted in one sense (people willing to have sex on a TV love Island as millions look on). While all around us hierarchy and tradition is being replaced in favour of a nanny culture where the individual is paradoxically held in the highest regard, yet at the same time subjugated to ensure they stay equal.

I'm not sure what mixed message young people must get from all this but I really hope it's just a phase and normal service will resume soon.

30 here, I started using internet at like 13. It's genuinely insane how much it's all changed.

I even feel like I grew up in a different age.

I am not particularly outraged tbh.

When i went to school, the girls were not allowed trousers, which seemed horrible for them in the winter. I survived through school with trousers and dont recall struggling with heat. If you think it is still hot, you could always purchase lighter uniform for the hotter months and heavier trousers for the winter months.

I don't see why skirts and trousers are not allowed but this is quite a non story. OUTRAGE AS SOME SCHOOLS CHANGE UNIFORM POLICY! :p

All those losing their minds about it being a "non issue" have got it wrong, it is a problem, they are forcing girls to wear trousers.

In the context of the fact that it is a school uniform and you are forcing students to wear a proscribed set of clothing anyway, what exactly is the issue of girls having to wear trousers?

I couldn't care less what other people wear. Seems crazy that we have to be gender neutral now. Although saying that, in the office I have to wear trousers and a long sleeved shirt but the ladies are able to wear short skirts and low tops. That of course doesn't bother me ;) except when they moan the air con is too cold!

To be honest plenty of schools forced girls to wear skirts, arguably worse given the colder months. This only really seems to be an issue because gender neutral was mentioned. Had this been just a change in uniform for some other reason such as some young girls took the pee when hiking their skirts up or whatever, I don't think the thread would exist or at least there would be no calls of treason :p

Boys wearing skirts just would not be tolerated,
I think it's right. I in these times of equality, why should boys have to be the ones to suffer sweaty bits while the girls get air up around the tooshi :). Make 'em all get sweaty bits.
Should be the same in offices too.. Last week, lots of lovelies wearing thin skirts and other bright colourful thin articles of clothing while us guys all fully suited and booted in dark colours to absorb the heat with a stupid colourful rope thing around our necks ensuring the heat stays trapped inside the shirt.
:p
I long since ditched the tie and if anyone wants to tell me to do otherwise they'll be swiftly told to take a hike. If women can strut around the office in skirts or dresses and what seem to amount to holiday sandals there's no way I'm being made to tie up!

We have no air con and I'm on the first floor of a converted church building which collects all the heat amazingly well. Uncomfortable doesn't even come close this last week...

What are you going on about. Talk about melodrama.

Everyone being told how to think because 0.20% of the population kick up a fuss.

"oh well need gender neutral this and that". No we ******* don't. We have enough problems without having to worry about made up ones too.

They say the more extreme to the left and right you go in government the more they get closer together. It's the same with this as well, you have SJW's getting triggered all the time and now you have the proper anti-SJWs getting triggered all the time too.

I'm 28 and it's changed massively since I was at school. Things got ridiculous really quickly over a few years

I remember watching a documentary on that with all this identity politics.

This forum has changed massively since 2010, even more so since 2004. Nobody gave a rats about any form of politics back then. Look at it now.

This guy sums up the situation best:

There's already been reports that men are becoming reluctant to hire women due to the #metoo movement and eventually there will be no women in professional sport due to trans men pushing them all out. Women are under attack and don't even know it because it's being sold to them as progress. If you want to bring about social change the first thing you do is indoctrinate children.

Middle-aged men getting in an uproar due to schoolgirls not wearing skirts any more seems more than a little bit suspect to me. Dirty almost-old men :p

I do find it hard to comprehend how a school can allow someone to chose their gender but not their lower garments.

Exactly. Your logic is spot on.

They can hit two birds with one stone this way, taking away people's skirts means people will get angry, this enables the prime objective of government which is to divide and conquer because it creates friction between tranns and people who want to wear skirts. Just look at the headline "to cater for transgender pupils". Yeah no more skirts because we have to cater for trann people. What the heck are they doing I despair.

It just reveals the true agenda or cause/effect here, I use both terms because the word "agenda" suggests someone is actually in control here, but the actual problem might be that no one is in control, and no one has any idea what the heck is going on I mean how many world leaders have an understanding of sociology? We are only seeing the effects of highly irrational people and their knee-jerk decisions which are destroying society as we know it.

Diane Burdaky, whose daughter Annabelle is in Year 8, claims parents were never consulted about the changes.

'There was no letter or email. No word or consultation from the school at all.

I mean the really messed up thing is the fact that parents were never consulted according to the article. So they can just make changes to what kids have to wear to school without even telling the people who have to BUY the uniform for them, yeah that just screams of highly thought out and rational planning doesn't it (not) hahaha :D it's just comedy gold! How can anyone take this seriously and not instantly reject this as a charade or attempted mind control propaganda/divide&conquer spreading event.

Back when I was at school we would have told the teachers to **** right off heck even the closet transsexuals. Unfortunately I have little faith in the youth of today, they are being bombarded with exponentially more lies and propaganda than ever before.

Utterly disgraceful what this nation is becoming. The people who implement these policies should tried for treason.

Just think 20-30 years from now while the whole world watches in awe the sight of a Chinese, Russian or Indian (male) Astronaut dump a flag into the surface of Mars, our politicians will be celebrating a 'person' taking a dump in our first gender neutral public toilets. And in that time the UK will more resemble a third country with decaying infrastructure and maybe then people will join the dots and see why we are no longer relevant in anything that matters.

Why is it utterly disgraceful theyve just changed to trousers as it solves a lot of problems woth skirt length rolling up skirts etc.

Also it's funny you say (male) astronaught when Russia and China both have female astronauts.
