given up on dell u2410 what TFT 24" help

Hi all

I given up on the DELL and HP ips monitors as there seem to be to much of a problem with them for the price so the question is what good tft is there as i am coming from a crt.

Samsung SM2443BW is this any good i want a 24" no less and a 1200 screen is there anything better than this as there seems to be to much problems with ips tint and other things.

I used this monitor for a year, and It was fantastic. Wonderful colours, deep blacks and wide viewing angles. I had the A01 revision and had no ghosting or input lag (that I could percieve) when playing FPS games like crysis and BF2. You will likely receive the A02 with may be even better.

I would highly recommend it. It uses a Samsung S-PVA panel.

how come this is more expensive than the dell u2410 ?

is there any problems with this monitor like the other dells and is it better than the tfts and is it matt or glass look screen ?

if its the same price which is the better panal ips or s-pva and are the blacks better or just the same as ips

what about light bleed on this and tft samsung models.

I don't know about the pricing, these things often fluctuate.

The main problem reviews throw up is input lag. This monitor (the A00 revision at least) has been shown to have some of the highest input lag, when compared to other PC monitors.

That all said, I played games happily on mine, so whether you will find it a problem is very subjective.

As for blacks, I believe S-PVA is amazing for deep blacks.

The screen uses a matte coating.

is the A02 much better at lag ? or just the same where does it say about the fixes to this monitor.

and do OCuk sell the A2

still dont know what to do what about this samsung is this a good monitor or is there a better tft version just trying to way the pros and cons are tft that bad ? my friend has a samsung and its a tft it looks great apart from the viewing angles but its not that bad if you just sit in front of it

or am i wroung as i dont won a lcd monitor never have and this will be my first

2408WFP is a very good monitor.

I'm also in teh same boat, in need of a 24" upgrade from a NEC 20WGX2, been looking for 12months for something good. gutted the U2410 seems sh1te
