Glacier came to light when Thermaltake launched the Core P3 snow edition case, I've seen many a core p3 and p5 mounted next to each other, but never stacked vertically on top of each other.

So the design came to life and my vision became a reality.
I would like to thank my sponsors on this project:-

Alphacool :- Eddy
Gigabyte Uk :- Andrew B
To The Wire :- Michael Sheppard
Maxwell Jones Studios Ltd:- Archie Greig
OG Designs :- Oliver Gilbert
Addon Customs :- Marcus Hawkins

GLACIER SPECS:-
Thermaltake Core P3 snow editions / Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 / Intel i7-6700k / EVGA Supernova 850 watt /

Alphacool watercooling / Samsung 950 pro 512gb / 3 x Kingston Hyperx 3K 480GB SSD

9 x Enermax Cluster Advance 120 mm fans / 2 x Nvidia GTX 1080 / Corsair Vengeance LED 64 Gig 3000mhz

** Image removed, Contains Competitors **

here's a few pictures of the watercooling hardware:-

THE CASES.
My design was to connect 3 core P3 snow chassis together vertically, and have 3 different coloured water loops going around the outside of each level.

A few case modifications to do,it has to all align perfectly.

Now the Alphacool corner fittings and the case corner posts were out at the cnc machine shop, I could concentrate on the acrylic work.
I had to outsource the laser cutting to Maxwell jones studios for this, as my workload with my job was high.Ive used 3 mm gloss white acrylic for this.

Now most of the components were here, just waiting on cpu and gpu to arrive. I started on the 3 loop colours. Just to see what the colour combination looked like.
Glaciers fluid colours

cpu loop :- mayhems pastel white

gpu 1 loop :- Alphacool AT protect crystal blue

gpu 2 :- Alphacool AT protect clear with mayhems blue dye.

Whilst I was on the fluid side of things, it was time to add a touch of white to the Alphacool Eisbecher DDC 250mm Plexi reservoir and the Laing pump covers.
( sorry for the poor quality of my pictures, im still learning the Nikon D5300)

now that's everything all sorted for final assembly.
the build is booked in to i59 in December at the NEC,9th - 12th.
if you fancy a look at the finished build, pop on down

I will get final pics up when its assembled

I filled them to see what the colours will look like.
Loving it.....
Frosted res to acrylic tubing.hoping it looks good together

Your mounted 90° bends look interesting too. How have you managed to get the mounting stand-off into them without making it leak? Doesn't look enough wall thickness to take the thread without piercing the inner wall - have you just sealed them with something (PTFE, LS-X? ) afterwards?

The thread goes through into the fitting.
Tha fitting wall thickness is only 2.125 mm thick.
Sealing with liquid ptfe
The inner caorner of the 90 has been machined flat,so I got a good mating face for the solid brass pegs.
The pegs are 25 mm long, with a 5mm thread one end and a 3 mm threat on other side.

Sorry if I'm asking inane questions....I'm just curious as to how you've solved issues I've come across before :D
How have you got all the threads the right length/orientation so that all the fittings line up parallel when they're tight....or are the posts just done up tight (and thread-sealed) on the fitting and only far enough into the pillar so that they line up and relying on the tubing g to keep the fittings still?

Hi
More than happy to answer questions.
The core p3 corner posts were machined at a cnc shop.the drilled the holes in them, every 67mm apart.each hole was drilled and threaded to a depth of 6mm
With a diameter hole of 5mm
Each brass peg screws in and stops.all same length when they are all in each peg sticks out 14mm from the pole.all bang on.
The 3mm diameter threaded end goe s into the inside corner of each fitting.
A jig was made and the fitting sat it the jig.clamped each end.
Then a cnc drilled and threaded a 3 mm diameter hole in the inside corner.
We had to machine a small flat surface on the inside corner of each fitting.so. The led ad a flat stop to go up against.
We just tread the fitting on until tight.all fittings are 31.5mm from the post to outside of the fitting.no jigging about.just thread it on and they are all the same length from the post.
I've done a trial fitting, used liquid ptfe and screwed fitting on,I let it go off for 45 mins and connected some PETG up.put some DI water in it and no leaks.
The fitting is tight and level.

I have used a thread lock on the brass pegs into the solid bars.just belt and braces type of thing.
I will assemble each line of fittings, with the acrylic tubing.so I know it's not going to move so the ptfe can set

On a side note, couldn't you have maybe just used a Superflower Ledex as they're available in both black and white thus not having to void dem warranties?

Hi
I could have done yes,but no fun in that.
I like EVGA psu and it was a nice size for the area it's located.
Not worried about the void warranty.
Never have been...... never will lol

Hi all, well it's was a race to the end to get Glacier finished.i had to be at insomnia 59 on Thursday 8th Dec at 6pm.
Well I missed that deadline, but got it there 17 hours later.no sleep for 3 days.totally knackered but well worth the end result.
Here's a few pictures of the assembly process

Well after the assembly I had a leak on 2 internal rotation barb fittings,so a full strip down and sorted that issue out.
Re assembled again and all was leak free.....
Now I had a custom led strip fail, don't know why.but didn't have time to sort that issue.
At this point I was tired, hungry and late for i59.but got it crated up and off I went.
Got to i59 and low and behold,a led on one of the fans decided to work intermittently.WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG NOW.........
