Gladiators

I've always thought that there was something a bit romantic (not in 'that' way) about two willing people fighting to the death in epic style, and I do like to watch people fighting in brutal contact sports. Yeah, i guess i'd kind of like to see it.
 
I wouldn't want to watch it, but then I don't like boxing or UFC for the same reason. I don't find watching people actually hurting each other entertaining.

I saw the Eugene beheading and it was the worst thing Ive ever seen and if i could go back in time i wouldn't watch it again. I'm to curious for my own good sometimes :(. If its not real i.e in films i can stomach any amount of violence but when you know its real its totally different.
 
Well we have modern gladiator combat just with guns now, its called war and its on tv most days on a channel called the news.

Prefere swords and stuff tho myself. Wana see stuff that was in the awsome film Gladiator. :)
 
My brother knows one of the x-gladiators, he works on the door i think at the Belfry Hotel. Hes a bit of a legend from the fight stories that i hear.

Ahh yes, I remember her.. Had to spend a day as her 'bodyguard' once, had to laugh really, there I was, 19 years old, and being a bodyguard for one of the Gladiators..

I suppose, I was more of a 'get in the way of the groping plebs' than a 'bodyguard' but hell, it meant spending the day within about 6ft of her, and honestly, she was pretty damn cute, albeit in a small package.

Same here. I watched it, thinking I'd be able to handle it, but it was awful to see Ken get killed, the images have never left my mind. People who say that we've all been desensitized to violence are completely wrong .
