So glad I've got the morning off in case it's my companyHate to be the Vape shops insurance company (presuming they have insurance).
This....plus all the barber shops, car washes, mini markets...Ban vape shops for the eyesores that they are. Said in a glaswegian accent.
Plus money laundering, illegal employment, dodgy cigarettes and vaping products, selling to children. Basically a blight on any street.
By the sounds of it the vape shop may not even have had a fire extinguisher as one of the BBC reports mentions a guy who went to a sandwich shop next door and came back with one after the shop keeper came running out shouting fire.
At the very least it sounds like the shop didn't have any planning/contingencies for a minor fire, and I suspect given the age of the buildings they may have lacked the sort of fireproofing/containment that is typically part of any modern building (and possibly very little done to retro fit it).

Hey now, I'm sure the vape shop had a comprehensive and up to date fire risk assessment and fully considered all the risksLithium batteries in the vapes would have been quite a fire hazard.
Government /HMRC don’t seem that bothered by money laundering, quite happy to get their cut of the black economy if the public don’t complain too much. The number of Turkish (Albanians in reality) barbers up here now is comical. There's a video of a guy using a hose, which would've made it far worse.
If anything it hope it clamps down heavy on these vape shops (most of which are clear money laundering), really suprised this hasn't happened before.

Its crazy to me how theyre actively promoting money laundering, criminal activities. I genuinely don't understand. Such an easy win to lower overall crime rate.

...which could be void if basic H&S such as having a fire extinguisher was not met.Hopefully the original shop had all the insurance!
