a lot of money to finish second though. Would McDonald not have got them these neway and would still have McDonald after the end of the season. Was a gamble that didnt pay off.

C'mon guys we all KNOW the standard of football notb is low, that said there ARE some decent quality players/managers up here and, here's hoping, that financial turmoils that most clubs have been through will lead them to the conclusion that investing in the game and indeed the young footballers this country undoubtedly has is the only way forward.

And a begrudged congratulations to Rangers on their 2nd successive spl title. Enjoy it while it lasts, im sure my bhoys will be back to put up a proper fight some season soon!

And they think they could just walk into the premiership! They would be lucky to get promoted from the championship.

But good on em, have always prefered Rangers to Celtic
 
Do I need to point out the record we have against English teams in Europe? It isn't as one-sided as you would think.

As for McRod, it is just banter although I fail to see how I managed to get the thrwad locked twice all by my self. Surely McRod and McMav where also guilty? So let's have a truce lads, no points scoring, goading remarks that will irk the mods and risk a thread closure eh?

I dont think I was ever that ott but if I was I apologise( I missed both time the thread got locked) . I'm in too good a mood to goad or anything these days all the points scoring was done by the team on the park :D

I seen your U-19 squad did what the senior squad couldnt do so well done to them at least they showed the bottle to win. The senior team could take a leaf out of their book.

But come on having a go at the league :( it's not Rangers or celtic's fault they are in a diddy league. Scottish people are passionate about the game win or lose.

I'm dreading next season's Champions league already.

Also the following season the champions of scotland will need to qualify for the champions league due to recent (apart from ger's cup final in 08) poor european results at club and national level.

Does that mean we lose the second place CL spot changed to Europa instead? What happens to third/fourth place spots?
 
Not sure. We lose second CL slot to Belgium. I dont think we get an extra europa league place but I cant find any info on that.

We will STILL have 2 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SPOTS.....

However.....

The Champions will have to qualify by Navigating through 2 rounds of the Champions Play Offs (Seeded against champions of lesser nations, Lithuania as an example, yes Kaunas I know)

The Runners Up will essentially play in the qualifying stages they do now and may face teams such as England 4th Place, Italy 3rd/4th Place, Spain 4th Place etc.

Pretty much the same as before but the champions need to beat some "lesser" teams. :cool:

We just can't sustain the poor level of performance of recent campaigns, however Europe is essentially only fought for through Rangers and Celtic, the other clubs tend to let us down a lot. At least Aberdeen managed the last 32 when Rangers made the UEFA Cup Final.
