Glasses : Eyesight worse

Hi All,

Anybody else noticed there eyesight getting significantly worse in lockdown, I've been sat at a desk staring at a monitor working from home since March 2020 and while I need to go to the opticians to verify I can tell my near vision has deteriorated (I'm long sighted).

OK I guess it could have just got worse anyway as I'm no spring chicken (50) but I definitely think I'm now going to have to go varifocals or for two pairs of glasses.

Anybody else noticed the same?

But in normal times I would also be driving to work etc, walking around the office, travelling to/attending customer meetings etc. The amount of time I now spend staring at a screen has massively increased e.g. all-day-every-day.

Nope, obviously trying to spend sensible amounts of time away from the screen e.g. lunch/dog walks etc but 'screen time' is massively increased.

Yes but mine has been deteriorating for a while. Early 50's. I've been short sighted for a while but now I am getting older I am struggling to read things up close. It's natural as we get older. I really need good light to read now.

I accept it could be coincidence, need to get booked in to have my eyes tested again.
