Hi there,

Considering our first trip to the Glasto festival next year but neither of us want to camp.

Does anyone have any knowledge of hotels / alternatives to normal camping in the area around the time of the festival that we could investigate?

Also, we don't have a car. Just to add to the fun :)

Thanks for any help given!

I can't help you in your search of hotels and such, but I would strongly recommend that you do camp. When you arrive, you will be blown away by the whole 'Glasto atmosphere' (which has nothing to do with the music), which you won't get until you go, but when you do, you will want to be in it for as much time as possible. Once you're partied out, and finally want to go to bed, you will be so happy that you can practically fall into your tent. :p

It's a great weekend, GO! ;)

We're registered and will be getting tickets. What's the strategy for getting the tickets? I sm up in Derby and my folks will be calling from Cheltenham, what if two of us get through to book at the same time? I'm so excited!

Trade registration numbers. You'll be lucky if any of you get through, let alone all. Give each other your registration numbers, have them buy all the tickets, and then pay them back. :)

Anyone in the Northwest area that are driving up and have a spare seat? I'm determined to go next year yet nobody I know wants to go. Obviously don't know what they're missing! so I'm looking for a group or few people to go with, I don't mind driving even if my 12 year old car can handle it... :D.

Myself and eight others are planning out first trip there. It is a stag weekend as well and we are all in our mid-thirties. Planning on renting a couple of mobile homes for the weekend though I kind if feel I want to do it the proper way and stay in a tent.
