Is the first episode the same as the long Pilot episode that was on the net a while ago or just it start from where that finished off? I assume this is on the Channel 4 Catch-up thing too?

There are two versions of the pilot - the aired version, and a slightly longer director's cut. They are the same episode - episode 1.
 
Watched whats available on 4OD yesterday.

Not as bad as I was expecting, fills 45 minutes but I don't think I'd be happy to tell my mates in the pub "Hey I watch Glee!" (Guilty pleasure!)
 
Very ashamed to say I watched it online after hearing the hype about it....even more ashamed to say I ended up finding them all online and having an all night glee marathon to watch the whole series :o

Well, I suppose it's not 'awful' in the sense that it's pretty well done. However what is the point of it being released?? The original doesn't sound dated at all and this version is practically no different to it. In fact it was all the more vocally impressive sung by Steve Perry. And therefore it's a shame that this may well chart higher than Journey

Semi forced to watch the first ep with the gf but it's turned out to be nothing like I expected and I found it quite good :) she ain't allowed to watch them without me now :p
 
Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is just excellent and gives the show that little extra that makes you keep watching.

I love the way she always goes on about Will's hair. Comedy genius.
 
My housemates did the first 4 episodes back to back last night, and it's next on my list for watching on the way home (after I finish season 1 of Psych).
