Glued Locks

Buy some Autosmart Tardis or similar, that will break it down and it's designed to be no a car.

It will be a slow process though.
 
If it's dried lumps rater than a smear, maybe trying some Meguiars Clay, I used it to get spots of house paint off of my car (it involves a lot of scrubbing and elbow grease but doesn't damage the paint).

However, may not work if the super glue isn't raised at all and it's abouut £20 for the kit so although it's an idea, might be best trying something cheaper first! Saying that, it's good stuff for getting tar and other road rubbish off anyway.

Ah well I can still have one last go at saving the day. Guess it depends what type of scourer. Metal wire-wool one will have killed it but if it's a green supermarket one it will probably buff back up.
