Im after a new email provider
I currently use gmail but want to move from them.
What other free web based services can I use, that also allow me use via iphone

Or is it just the @gmail.com you want to change? If that bothers you, set up your own domain IMO. I.E yourname.co.uk

Easy cheap way to have a decent email address. Personally I think gmail works just fine.

As I mentioned.

Apple do an email service, @me.com works fantastically well on an iPhone

I've been using gmail since it game out. Fed up of the whole dot thing.

There are about ten people in the world who think they have my email address but with dots in the middle

[email protected] etc when gmail ignores the dots. I get so much rubbish through and the report spam feature never works!

I have my own domain of mysurname.co.uk and google host the email for it using their google apps package.

I now have Gmail functions with my own domain, best of both worlds.

There is nothing better than Gmail really, there's no good reason to change from it.

Yeah I do this too, have a nonsensical gmail account name and then route all mail through my on domain. i then move to trash any mail that didn't come through my domain using the filters, works perfectly.

I quite like it - the frontpage looks a bit spammy but the service has been fine for me. After Bluebottle decided to charge for everything I decided I wanted similar spam protection but didn't want to pay due to all of the freebies out there. Inbox.com does have excellent 'human' spam controls and the service has been very solid.
