Moved to gmail as it proved easier to setup with my iPhone

Still have my hotmail and still log in occasionally, but other than that, never use it.

Gmail. I can't even remember the last time I used Hotmail (its spam filter is horrendous!). I don't even use it for IM these days with Facebook, Gmail chat and Skype. Gmail is also the better choice if you use a phone with an Android OS, which I do

Gmail over Hotmail without a doubt. However I actually use iCloud for my e-mail now.

Gmail I'm trying my hardest to like... bit I just cant do it.

It is now my primary email due to my phone, but it is so so basic, I long for the day that it becomes more hotmail like... or dare say it, more yahoo like!

Me and a few friends still used it until they brought out a new update, cant remember which exactly, but it was the one where your contacts were shown just by their name, ie. you couldnt see the actual 'username', due to this and a number of other stuff completely stopped using it and we switched to Skype...

But yea a few years ago..especially when I was in school..everyone was on MSN..I remember my evenings were spent chatting up the girls from school on MSN

Before that though it was all about Yahoo Messenger! Just logged into my hotmail and got 7k unread emails..logged into my yahoo and there is 60,000 unread

GMAIL all the way now! Especially if you have Android phone

Mostly Facebook chat, I think. Although someone said to me not long ago "you still use Skype?". I had to pull my best 'not sure if serious' face

I think Facebook is just more convenient for most people. All but one of my friends now uses Facebook instead, and I usually end up skipping typing altogether and just calling the last one on Skype. I haven't even had Live Messenger installed in about a year.

I use hotmail more than my Gmail, but if I didn't have most of my stuff linked to hotmail, I would use Gmail. The spam and phishing mails in hotmail is just ridiculous.

It fizzled out before then. I'm thinking mobile phones and SMS.

I'd still use msn/Skype if there was more than just me who logged on!

I've got both emails but prefer hotmail as gmail hasn't clicked yet. Saying that though, I use a mail application so their Web interface is irrelevant unless I'm on a public pc.
