GMTV

They wanted a new format, so went for 'The One Show' style in the mornings. We'll have to wait and see if its been a success or not.

Personally I much perfer (Looking at) Christine Blakely to Penny Smith. :)

I think they thought the success of the One Show could be carried over by transferring the presenters whilst forgetting that it's actually about the content rather than the faces. The One Show is pretty good because of the features, researchers and the production team which are none existent on DayBreak

I don't like it either, and apparently a lot of viewers has switched over to watching BBC instead so can't be doing too good.

Everything just seems so forced. I know it's only the beginning of the show but the presenters aren't new to the game so. Meh.

100% agreed with this! It's painful to watch when it recycles.
Isn't that kind of the point though? It's perfect for me. I'm off to work, so I'm not going to be watching the telly for more than 30 mins while I make breakfast/eat breakfast/pull some clothes of the rack to wear, and I want to have a general idea what the news is, not which piece of vacuous celebrity fluff is coasting through an interview on ITV.

The fact it repeats so much is so that people waking at different times can do the same thing. Makes sense to me.

Eventually they will bring back the couches and have the same format as GMTV (remember the uproar when GMTV started after that othershow (with Frank Bough) GMTV tried to be different as did BBC but they all end up with couches...

GMTV had a nice format although the ads and constant "you can help someone else get 100 000 quid by chipping in a quid" but we'll choose our mates as winners anyway "competitions" were annoying.

Instead of saying "we're giving you the chance to win"

it should have read

"you're giving someone else the chance to win and we're taking a large percentage of it in profit"

I'll need to tune in to see a bit of Christine in the mornings, getting used to Alex Jones when I get in from work and starting to think she is better looking than Christine :D

Am I the only one who watches TV but avoids ITV altogether? It's just too glam and fake, just seems like shallow channel. Don't even get me started on the sister channel celeb updates, ugh!

I dunno how people can watch TV before 6pm really. Apart from kids TV it's all dross IMO.
